A giant siren, one of North America’s largest amphibians, was found in southeastern U.S. wetlands. It resembles an eel with external gills, small front legs, and can grow up to 97 cm. These nocturnal creatures live in slow or stagnant waters and can survive droughts by burrowing in mud
